Hi, I’m Christine (she/her), it’s a pleasure to see you here.

I’m someone who loves to challenge the ‘social norm’, especially when it comes to sex, shame and bodies.

In fact, I even had the wordPunani’* printed across the back of my year 12 school jersey (at a strict Christian school, no less) because even as a teen, I knew that
the antidote to shame is sharing

A woman with blonde wavy hair, wearing a white tank top and light blue jeans, sitting on a white couch, smiling and holding a white mug in her hands, in a room with a textured beige wall and sunlight streaming in.

At 21 years old I was busy working as a freshly graduated rehabilitation counsellor when I experienced a complete loss of sexual desire. There were no answers, no resources, and no safe space to ask, “What’s happening to me?”. So instead, I personalised the issue as something that must have been wrong with me.

I was dismissed by doctors, and even made to feel ashamed for having an interest in sex and pleasure at all, that I shouldn’t be worried about this because I shouldn’t be thinking about or having sex for fun anyway! I eventually discovered that a chronic health condition was a key factor for me, but first and foremost I realised how little I actually understood about how desire actually works. Like many others, I’d internalised the belief that it’s supposed to be spontaneous, consistent, and always aligned with a partner's needs, and I felt as though my body was broken for not experiencing desire, arousal and sex in this way.

During my search for answers to my own sexual concerns, I stumbled upon the Master's program in sexual health counselling at the University of Sydney. At the time, I didn’t even know sex therapy was a real profession, but it changed everything for me!

After a right-of-passage stint working in London (and obviously living in Clapham with all the other Aussie’s and Kiwi’s in London), I completed the Masters program and in 2018 founded Good Vibes Clinic. The clinic is a reflection of my dream to create a sex-positive, inclusive and shame-free space, something I wished I’d had and that I knew many others needed. What started as a sole trader therapy business has now grown into a team of six multi-disciplinary practitioners. Together, we support individuals and couples navigating sex, relationships, and trauma with compassion and evidence-based care. We are Sydney’s only bricks-and-mortar, multi-disciplinary specialist sex, relationship, and trauma therapy clinic, and I am so incredibly proud of the safe space and support we are able to offer our clients.

While I still love being hands-on in clinical work, I’m equally passionate about reaching broader audiences through media, events, brand partnerships, and online courses. Whether I’m working with clients, chatting to media on a range of sexual and relational topics, supporting the launch of a pleasure product or facilitating a workshop or event, my mission is the same: to debunk myths, remove shame, and create space for pleasure, connection, and curiosity.
